    Work Menu in Word 2K (9.0.3821 SR-1)

I was recently migrated to Word 2K. I use the Work Menu extensively for quick access to some log files. I can't figure out how to remove a file from the menu, however. When I do the Ctl-Alt-Hyphen thing, the menu that I've dropped down closes up, and I'm afraid to click on it again for fear of removing the whole menu and then having to start from scratch again. Any help would be appreciated.

You have the right method, just go for it.

Control-Alt-Hyphen. Click on the Work menu (with the standard shape cursor). As you move the mouse over items in the menu you will see the cursor has changed to a thick Hyphen. Just click on the one you want to remove.

Thank you both, it worked, Windows 2000 and Word 2000 just freaks me out a bit, and I was afraid I'd remove the menu completely. All's well that ends well!
