    Excel Start (Excal 2000)

does anyone know where i can find the file that tells excel what to open what it starts. i believe this would be similar to (normal.dot) in word? here's what happened, i installed a program called Click Book, then removed it later, (uninstalled). even removed any reference to it in the registry. now whenever i open Excel i get a message that says - ClickBook.xla in xlstart could not be found- . xlstart is empty, so i need to find out where is the file or registry entry that is telling Excel to look for ClickBook.xla

Try Tools, Add-ins and see if you can find and remove a reference to ClickBook.
