    Open to a specific worksheet

Is there a way to open a workbook and have a specific worksheet with focus instead of the worksheet that had focus when you saved last? I was thinking I read somewhere you could do this, perhaps with a command switch.

Re: Open to a specific worksheet

You could insert a statement that activates a specific worksheet and range in either the Workbook_Open or Workbook_BeforeClose event to accomplish that. Something like:
    Sub Workbook_Open ()
    Worksheets.("Sheet1").activate
    Range("A1").select
    End Sub

Re: Open to a specific worksheet

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to be able to do this without running any code, as I will be opening the file from several different web pages on our intranet and open a different worksheet from each link. Using your approach would still work if I passed a command line parameter identifying the sheet name. I was just thinking that there was something already built into Excel that would do it.
