Creating subwebs (FP2002)

While trying to publish my website, which has grown to over 20MB (lots of graphics and pictures), I would get an interrupt and indicating that the host server had stopped responding. Troubleshooting the problem with my ISP, I discovered that FP (or maybe it's just the server) doesn't like dealing with webs over about 5 MB. My ISP has recommended that I break my site up into smaller chunks. I'm open to the suggestion, but before I leap into this, I wanted to see if anyone else had experience with (1) limits on web size, and (2) creating subwebs within a "master" web, and (3) hints on managing the complexity of multiple websites that are, to the visitor, actually one web.

Our site has two subwebs. It's no big deal, unless you need a site-wide search

    Re: Creating subwebs (FP2002)

Here's where I am now. I created a subweb. There was a brief and somewhat ambiguous note in the "Create a Subweb" process indicating that some of the navigation links might be lost when creating a subweb. When I tried to include the subweb in the navigation schema for the main web, no dice .

Does anyone know of a way to include a subweb in the navigation structure? If it can't be done using the FP Navigation view, can it be done manually using HTML and if so, how?

I think that is one of the many features of FP that I have never used, maybe because it seemed to be time spent on something that no one would ever see. Since you have such a large site, it probably pays off for you.
