    Random Reminders (Outlook 2000)

I've looked through the posts and don't see this exact situation. I find that reminders I set for appointments sometimes appear and sometimes don't. I usually just have my Inbox folder displayed. I've found that the nonappearing reminders to show up if I switch to the Calendar folder.

Sometimes I have seen reminders appear even when I haven't clicked the Calendar folder since opening Outlook.

Any clues? Or will this "cleanreminders" thing I keep seeing fix this problem?

    Thanks!!

All things equal the /cleanreminders switch does a pretty good job. Keep in mind that alarms only work on items in the main calendar folder; you may want to check and make sure this isn't part of the problem.

    Re: Random Reminders (Outlook 2000)

I used to have the same problem. It magically cleared itself up after several months of head-scratching and /cleanreminders. I asked the same question about a year and a half ago, and I got a few people to agree that there was a problem, but I never came up with a good cure. Once I got rid of the problem, I sorta forgot about it, though. Here's a link to the thread, if you want to look at it: Post 2899

Sorry I don't have any cures for you, but I know sometimes it's nice to know you aren't the only one who's ever had this problem. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
