    Winmail.dat - different problem (2000)

Like many others before me have posted, when I send email
with attachments from Outlook 2000 (IMO), recipients instead
receive a winmail.dat file that is full of encoded text
etc. I have had Outlook 2000 installed and been using it
without this problem for 2 years, and then suddenly in the
last 3 weeks or so it has appeared consistently. I have ensured that
the mail format options (in tools) are set to plain text and this
still doesn't seem to fix the problem. Help!! Any suggestions?

if you are 100% sure the format is plain text, find and delete the *.nick file.
