I usually launch the Windows Explorer by pressing Windows Key-E. Most of the time this launches Explorer, but about 20% of the time, "Quick Finder" launches instead. This occurs in Win 2000 as well. Quick Finder is a bit like the Explorer (and not to be confused with Find Files & Folders), and allows access to Favorites, etc. but I wonder why it launches at all, and then only from time to time.
