Virtual Network Computing

    <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc>VNC</A>

Freeware for controling other computers from your desktop. Great for administering servers or in classrooms so you can see your students desktops. Parents could use it as spyware, although i prefer to trust my children.

Very similar to pcAnywhere, except in cost. I've tried both and VNC has less overhead.

Gets good reviews from me. Caveat still applies however, see this <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=off&Number=4895&page=&v iew=&sb=&vc=1#Post4895>Thread</A>

Yes -and when using this or pcanywhere, you can't be too secure or paranoid.
