Login screen (xp pro)

when I originally installed xp I chose to assume I would be the only one logining in and skip the login screen. Can I revert back to getting the login screen? I've tried logining off and shutting down but when I restart it still follows my original settings and boots directly to windows and no login or password required

Sounds like you've got autologon enabled in the Windows registry. Try checking out the instructions (in reverse) from the following Microsoft article (written for Windows 2000 but applicable in WinXP):

HOW TO: Enable Automatic Logon in Windows (Q310584)[/list]

If you download the powertoys for XP; in the tweak UI toy there is a screen to do this.
