Can you be more specific? Which version of XP? XP Home can not be a member of a domain. I'm using XP Pro in an SBS 4.5 environment.

What sort of problem? Is there a specific error message or symptom?

    GDay Braddy,
This caught me out at first to but I've done it a couple of times now. You can't use the SBS Client Disk as you've discovered. The process is as follows:
    Right click My Computer>Properties>Computer Name
"Network ID" button will open a wizard that leads you through the process
You need to enter the SBS DOMAIN NAME for both the user and the computer name
At some point you will be asked for a user name with permission to join the domain... you must enter an ADMINISTRATOR user name and password at this point.
    Good Luck

    Hi There

Thanks for the response I don't have any problem connecting the client to the server I can see everything, but
I keep getting the error popup, setup was unable to open the info file
    server nameclientsresponseuserclioc.inf error code 0 x3 at line 8735944
If could just stop this popping up I would be happy

    Thanks again

Re: Small Business Server (Windows xp)

    GDay again...
Client info files are created on the SBS Server for each COMPUTER attached to the SBS Server and are referenced on login. They can be found on the server at : C:SmallBusinessCLIENTSResponse
If there is no folder for the new computers they can be created with the ADD COMPUTER wizard from the SBS Console or simply copy and rename an existing folder. If they already exist then you have an issue with security permissions.
