    Windows Explorer

When I want to create a new folder in Explorer, I right click in the right hand window and select "new". All I want to see is the "folder" icon. However as I have installed many different items of software, I get a list of all these program types with the option to create a new file. Can this list of software be edited to remove unwanted items and if so, does this have to be done in the registry and how is it done ?

    Hi Jeff
All you need is TweakUI. If it's not on your Windows disc, get the latest version from my website.
Click the 'New' tab and uncheck all the ones you don't want.
The beauty of this way is that you can put 'em back if need be.
