    Access to resource disallowed - IE5.5 (IE5.5)

    Hi,

This question has probably been asked before, but I am new to the IE part of Woody's Lounge, and I have not been able to successfully find anything with a search.

I download a html file from email to my M: drive which creates a file "mydownload.htm". When I try to subsequently access this file via IE I get this message:

"Access to the resource "m:docsmydownload.htm" has been disallowed - OK"

However when I go to Windows Explorer and click to open the file, it all works fine!!

What is wrong, Any suggestions as to how I can fix IE so I don't have to use Explorer to get around this problem.

    Thanks in anticipation.

Hmmm... have you applied the Q321232 patch to IE? Perhaps this is somehow related to the local reading of a style sheet?? (Just a stab in the dark). Also, what is your OS?

    Hi,

Thanks for your thoughts. We seem to have SP1 installed but not SP2, so I will investigate that in more detail. Also the config is not quite standard - Thin Clients using NT4 and Citrix! This of course means I have little control over what I can download and apply.

    Regards,
