    Hyperlinks to tasks? (Outlook 2002)

I have an Excel spreadsheet that I use to manage tasks. I would like to be able to insert in a cell a hyperlink to the actual task in Outlook. We have an Exchange-based setup. Is this possible? More generally, is there a valid form of a URL to refer to Outlook items in Exhange?

It is possible to hyperlink to items held in the outlook web store using the following layout:

    http://OWA Server/Exchange/UserName/Tasks/Task Subject.eml

Your OWA server will probably be the same as your exchange server, and don't forget the dot eml at the end!

A company called Teamscope also provide a free downloadable utility called Outlook Linker which "is a system tray applet that automatically generates a hyperlink for the current folder or item (message) and places it on the clipboard. The hyperlink can then be pasted into any MS Office document, Web page, e-mail message, etc."

I havn't tried this utility and therefore can't recommend it, however, it looks like it may be worth looking at.
