Output Object to Correct Fiel Location (2000)

    Hi,
I have a macro which outputs an Access query to Excel, opeing the Save As box ready for the file name, etc. It ignores the default file location as set in Excel though - which confuses my user who has been instructed to only save to that location. Can this be fixed?
    Thanks
    Gill.

You can ask the user for the file name first, then plug the Excel default file location + file name into the output command.

I think you'll need to switch to VBA code for this.
You can ask for input with an InputBox, or create a form with a text box, or if you want to be fancy, display the Open dialog. If you do a search on OpenDialog, you'll find information on how to create one in Access.
