    page borders

Has anyone found a way to add new types of page borders to the choices given by MS in WORD97? The Knowledge base says no, but I'm hoping someone has found a way around this. It's a drag to use gifs and then superimpose text.

    Thanks

Do you mean other than the ones that you can apply with
Format | Borders and Shading | Page Borders (tab) ?

Yes, I would like to add new types of graphics to Format | Borders and Shading | Page Borders so I can have borders that resize themselves depending on the page. I know I can use a gif or jpg file, resize it to fit the page, and then insert a text box. Problem is, many of the graphics files do not resize clearly.

When you pick up graphics, try to get vector-graphics rather than bitmap. These are more easily resized.

Have you checked the Clip Gallery on the web?

Thanks Charles. The .wmf borders are easier to work with. Wish we could add to those in WORD the same way we can add to clip art. But this is better than nothing.
