    Temporary directory XX (XP Home)

    Hi

I've discovered a pile of folders and files under "Documents and settingsDale LaceyLocal settingsTemp. The folders are in the format "Temporary Directory 11 for XXXXXXXX.zip". And they contain piles of files.

Any idea how these got created? And can I delete everything in "Temp"?

    Thanks
    Dale

No idea how the got created - most likely unzipping ZIP files. WinZip does something similar.

Delete them....and have a clear conscience. Until you empty the Recycle Bin they aren't really gone anyway. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Some download installs will download the files to the temp folder and then do the install. A lot of shareware will not clean up after them self.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
