Voodoo back?

Ok I was looking at Graphics cards to see which would be the best decision on my new comp and came across the Optimus 8500 eXP. Now I was looking at all the specs and then I saw a picture of the box. I don't know about you, but that looks an awful lot like a Voodoo to me. here is the site.

Nah. Being an old Voodoo veteran, I can tell you it's just a gussied up Radeon box. Stick with nVidia.

I don't know though. That card seems to do rather well when stacked up against the gf4. But I haven't decided yet. The video card will be the last thing I buy because there may be another set of cards out by the time I am ready to build.

As it stands now the Geforce4 series - the Ti series, anyway - has consistently outperformed the Radeons. The only area where ATI has a better offering is the All-In-Wonder cards. Nvidia could learn a few things from ATI on this one. If you intend to make the computer a personal video recorder or work with captured video, look at the All in Wonders.

For my money, the Geforce4 Ti 4400 is the best thing going right now, and can be had at a reasonable price if you look around.

But as I stated I am going to wait because for all i know they'll Release another card by the time I start to do the building. Right now I'm just working on my case and such so I still have a month or so before I start putting it together.
