Excel format dddd Access ??? (2000)

    Hi,

I am importing from Excel. In Excel I have a column formatted as dddd, that way the date will show up as the day of the week.

When I import to into Access I lose that format and just get the date.

How can I get I get the day of the week to show up in Access like I do in Excel?

    In a textbox use :
    =WeekDay([YourDateField)
    In a query use :
    Day of Week : WeekDay([YourDateField)

It's also possible to format a field (in a table or query) and a text box (on a form or report) as dddd, just as in Excel. Display the Properties window to set the format (View/Properties).
