Import Peachtree (A2K SR1)

<img src=/S/help.gif border=0 alt=help width=23 height=15> Does anyone know if there is a way to get accounting information out of Peachtree and into Access? I don't have, and am largely unfamiliar with, the Peachtree program but supposedly it keeps all of its information in a database-type format. I'm thinking that Peachtree might have some way of exporting its information in a format that Access can interpret, but I havn't seen anything to indicate that Access can do the import directly.

PAW/et is an MS Access application intended for older versions of Peachtree's software. It can transfer data directly to and from Peachtree Accounting for Windows and Peachtree Complete Accounting for Windows company data files. It is an excellent development tool for anyone who needs to extend the capability of the basic Peachtree package. PAW/et has a complete set of forms and reports for displaying data and supports versions 3.0 through 6.0 of Peachtree's software. Versions are available for MS Access 97 and MS Access 2000.If you are running PAW/PCAW V7 or greater, you should look at PawCom

It's not something that I will be working on directly, but I will pass the information on. I didn't think that the solution would be entirely within Access, but it definately looks like it won't be too challenging.

Otherwise, Peachtree should be able to export to an Access-compatible database format. At least, every version I've encountered could.
