Office XP Developer Service Pack 1 (WXP, OXP Dev)

Has anyone successfully downloaded this and installed it?

I have a Windows XP machine with Office XP Developer edition.

The components I installed from Developer are Office XP Developer, Windows Component Update, SQL Server 2000, Office XP Professional with Front Page, Office XP Media Content.

I have installed Office XP SP1 but when I try to install the XP Developer SP1 I get "This is not a valid Win32 application". I have downloaded the file 2x (14Mb!) with the same results.

Here is the Woody's Office Watch note about it from Feb 6 -

When promped, choose "Save to the disk" (or "Save" button) and for the future, NEVER choose "run the program from its current location" (or "Open" button). In 90% of all cases, you will need the patch once again. You can burn it on CD later to save the hard drive space.
You got the error message because there was errors during download, or the package (14.7 MB) couldn't extract individual files from temp to temp folder (it's often happen with large packages).
Try to download it once again and save it to the disk.
If you can't execute the package (MOD10ServicePack1enu.exe) try to open it with WinZip and extract all seven files from it manually.

Thanks for the reply. I did save to disk (and always do for the reasons you give). I will try the winzip option though.

Do the files need registering or are they straight replacements?

Just extract all files into one folder and and double-click mod10sp1.exe. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
