    hidden text (200)

I downloaded a court form and it has parts of it that do not display and cannot be edited (I need to delete the boilerplate there and fill in specifics). These portions of the document print out and will display in print preview. Tools options view hidden text does nothing. How can i get access to these parts of the doc?

Are you viewing in Normal or Print Layout? In Normal view, you can see Frames but not Textboxes. Does this help?

You can't see them in either normal or print layout -- or outline view. They can only be seen in print preview or on the physical printed page. So no that doesn't help.

Could they be in the header? They have to be somewhere! If you don't find them, can you post the document?

Is your printer a Postscript printer? The objects may be embedded Postscript objects with no tiff headers. This would mean that you could see the output when printed to postscript but not see anything other than an empty box on screen.

The only solution (I can think of) if this is the case is to print the file to PDF (Acrobat) and then copy the text from there back into a Word document.

If it's a court form it is quite probable that portion of the document is protected. I like Andrew's suggestion re PDF'ing the form.
