    Regional Settings (Office 2000)

    Hi.
In an Excel macro, I am trying to determine the users Regional Settings (i.e. English, Dutch(standard), etc). I tried using
    Application.LanguageSettings.LanguagePreferredForE diting(msoLanguageIDDutch)

Would this be a way of checking for or changing the settings? Is there a better way that you know of.

    thanks for your help.

    Re: Regional Settings (Office 2000)

    Hi Ken,

    I use:

    If Application.International(xlMDY) = True Then

to identify the type of date being used in the Regional Settings. This also includes:

xlCountryCode Long Country version of Microsoft Excel.
xlCountrySetting Long Current country setting in the Windows Control Panel, or the country number as determined by your Macintosh system software.

    along with many others.

    Checkout the International Property.

    Regards,

    Peter Moran
