    Blocking applications in Win95

    Hi,

Would anybody know how I could block programs that access the internet. We're trying from keeping people from installing or at least running ICQ or MSN or ohter programs like that at the offie where I work. (either using another program, the registry or policies)
We presently do not have any firewall or routers from which I could easyly block those things so I have to do it on the PC's (or mabe on the server ?)
    Thanks

If you don't have a firewall that will block the ports used by those applications, I don't see how you could easily accomplish it. Being in a corporate setting means that <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> is not an option, at least with ZoneAlarm, because it is no longer for personal use.

I was hoping to be able to block a specific application name from running in windows. There is a policy setting from which you can define which applications can be run by the user but I did not find anything about blocking apps.
