W2K Passwords Control Panel (WinXP 5.1)

When you enter "control userpasswords2" at a command prompt, you can bring up the W2K-style user account dialog box. Is there a way to make it the default when you click on "User Accounts." I know this CP entry defaults to the W2K style when the computer is in a domain but mine is not.

Are saying you do NOT want to use the "Welcome" screen when signing into XP? The welcome screen shows all accounts and allows one to select the account to log in.

If this is what you do not want to use, but the 2K (NT) default log in screen, go to "Control Panel, User Accounts, select "Change the way User log on and off", and then clear the check mark, in the "Use Welcome Screen"

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Dave,

No - my request doesn't concern the Welcome screen. I just prefer the Command-Run: control userpasswords2 dialog style of user account management.

While I would like to access this in the CP, one can create a shortcut to it and place it in the Administrative Tools startup folder.
