    Activate Image Preview

I have a user who saves .jpeg and .gif files in folders other than My Pictures and would like to activate Image Preview on those folders. I walked him through the View|Customize Folder option but he said he ended up in a Notepad window. Can Image Preview be activated on folders other than My Pictures? If so, how? My search of MS TechNet and KB came up with nothing.

    TIA

    Re: Activate Image Preview

    Start > Help
    Search on "Image"
Select the Topic entitled "Preview an image or picture"
That should give you the info you need on setting it up in another folder.

An alternative would be simply to select the thumbnail option as below.

    Re: Activate Image Preview

    Leif,
Thank you for your quick response. I suggested using the Thumbnail option but the user rejected it. We did try the instructions offered in help for the Image Preview. Glad to now I was on the right track with all this. I think I'll try to convince my user to go with the Thumbnail option, at least until I can get a definitive answer on Image Preveiw.

    In appreciation,
