    Delete Page Numbering (Word 2000)

I have a document where Insert Page Numbers was used from the Insert menu to put a page number at the top of the document. The user also added page numbers to the footer of the document and now prefers that look.

How do I now get rid of the page number at the top of the page?

Insert Page Number adds a TextBox, I think, that floats somewhere above the actual document. View your header, click inside the box where the number is, and a frame composed of a diagonally dashed line should appear. Float your mouse pointer over the frame until it turns into a four-direction arrow. Click the box, and it should get black squares at all of it's strategic points. Press the delete key.
