    Keybiding question (2000)

I have been playing with a macro that responded when I press spacebar. For any reason, I can't clear it. I want to know how can I clear it. Currently, when I am in normal template, I can't move my space bar, it is lock.

    Re: Keybiding question (2000)

    That's strange, because <spacebar> can't be assigned to run a command from Tools/Customize.../keyboard. You can assign Ctrl+Spacebar, Ctrl+Shift+Spacebar & Alt+Ctrl+Spacebar.

    1. Try deleting the macro & seeing if the problem goes away?
    2. Try renaming normal.dot & restart Word. Does it go away?

But you can assign spacebar to a macro following Klaus example in <post#=114359>post 114359</post#>

Thanks, Stuart. Well, if that's part of his macro, then deleting the macro should take care of it, no? Unless he needs to run a code to return it to its normal state.

I get it to work now after I rename normal.dot to normal2.dot. Word automatically created another normal.dot

    thank you

That's right, you do have to reset it. Otherwise Word, not finding the macro, simply does nothing.
