I am trying to set up a universal install using the wizard, but I have been forbidden to use an OSP -- lest anyone's personalized toolbars become lost. So, as a workaround, I use a batch file that opens a Word doc with an AutoOpen macro that sets up some buttons on the menu bar. Works great, except the Work menu comes up as a blank rather than having the "Add new item" command. I also would like to (1) show the buttons on two rows and (2) expand the Open dialog box full-screen and set it to list by Detail view. But the macros show as a blank when I try to record these actions.

Is there a way to automate this? I am not quite a VBA pro, but would welcome any suggestions.
