    Launching in an IFRAME (IE6.0.2600)

I just came across a tip that said to enable Tools/Internet Options/Security tab/Launching applications and files in an IFRAME, rather than prompt. I do recall that there was an IFRAME vulnerability that was patched recently. Doing so will allow you to open a gif or other file that's in the Temporary Internet Folder without getting a prompt how dangerous it could be. However, I was wondering whether this opens one up for a security risk while on the net. Any thoughts?

Mine's set on prompt, but I can't ever remember being prompted. Maybe the need for this is uncommon? In what context did the tip arise?

The tip came from ElementK Jounals. It was to prevent the warning that you get if you click on, say, a .gif pr text file (or anything else) in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
