Percentage Calculation (A2000)

I've always calculated efficiency in the following way: -

=[AmountGiven]/[AmountTaken]*100

This works ok in an unbound text whether in a report or a form.

I've also put this in a calculated field of a query and get some strange results.

2/1=200%
5/4=125%
26/18=149% ???????????

The first two are ok.
This last perc should be 144%, has any one seen this before, and why is it doing it.

Re: Percentage Calculation (A2000)

I used this calculated field in a query: Efficiency: Round([AmountGiven]/[AmountTaken]*100)
and got

Efficiency
200
125
144

as results. Does your calculated field look like this?

>>26/18=149% ???????????<<

Did you actually put 26/18, or did you do A/B in which A=26 and B=18?
