    Z Order (Access 2000)

    Can anybody tell me how to send a form 'To Back' or 'To Front' in Access 2000, via VBA? Z Order does not appear to be available in Access.

    Thank you.

    I don't know of a method to send a form "To Back".

    To send a form "To Front", use the SetFocus method of the form, or the SelectObject method of the DoCmd object. The form must already be opened.

    Example of SetFocus:

    Forms!frmMyForm.SetFocus

    Example of SelectObject:

    DoCmd.SelectObject ObjectType:=acForm, ObjectName:="frmMyForm"

    You can send controls on a form or report to back and bring them to front, but forms don't allow that functionality. Using Hans' suggestion should work for you, although you might find it easier to simply hide the forms you don't want on top by setting their visible property to false. If you later use a DoCmd.SelectObject to set the focus to a hidden form, it will become visible and become the form "on top".
