    Peer to Peer Win2k access...

    Hi,

I want to allow a Win2k User to access my Win2k station.
Under Control Panel's "Users and Passwords" applet I try to add him in.
It asks me what domain he's coming from.

I put his machine's NetBios NameLocal Administrator

But it doesn't work - pls. can you explain to me how this works so I can fox it?
    Thanks,

    m.q.

Can you add this persona as a user on your own workstation? The format, if you can't would be COMPUTERNAMEAdministrator, or whatever the user name is that is used on the remote station. Can you see the other PC in the network list?

All one needs to do is activate the "Guest" account on the 2K machine. Then any one with access to the peer2peer network will have access to the shares made, this includes the printers.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
