Palm Batteries

We have a number of users with Palm M100 who are running through batteries like wildfire. I suspect that some of them may be turning the backlight on and leaving it active - as it is almost impossible to tell if it is on or not in office lighting conditions does anyone know either of a way to indicate that it is active or a way of powering it off after a certain time.

The Prefernces > General screen has an "Auto-off after" setting.

Thanks for the suggestion i've already set most of them to a minute. I'm really looking for a utility which tells them that they have the light switched on.

I don't know about the M100, but with my Vx, if I can't read it at all, that means the backlight's on.
