Print Specified Pages Only (Word 97SR2)

I have a document that starts renumbering the pages at document page 16. I want to print document pages 16 and 17 which are numbered 1 and 2 (restarted numbering in the section -- which happens to be section 3 -- that starts on page 16). Make sense? The question is, using the Pring Dialog how do I indicate that I want to print section 3, pages 1 and 2?

If I enter 16,17 in the "Pages:" field on the print dialog, Word prints a job of 0 (zero!) bytes. <img src=/S/igiveup.gif border=0 alt=igiveup width=31 height=23>

I've never tried it, but according to <!profile=HansV>HansV<!/profile> in <post#= 138806>post 138806</post#> "p1s2-p3s2 means: print page 1 of section 2 through page 3 of section 2"

    To you and Hans I humbly bow. <img src=/S/bow.gif border=0 alt=bow width=15 height=15> It works as advertised.

    Hi Kevin:
Page numbering is a section property, not a document property. So you would enter p1s3-p2s3. You should see the page number & section number as the first two in the status bar. The one that goes 16/52, for example, is the actual physical page, but is not necessarily the page number. If the page number is unique, you can just put in that number. e.g. if section 3 has the only page 70, you can simply put in 70 in the box.

Thanks, Phil. Stu beat you to the punch, but you nailed it nonetheless.

    That's what happens when I open 10 messages in different windows & then start going through them. <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15>
