Lowercase t h & c don't work in Outlook only (Outlook 2002 SP1)

Sometimes (about 1-2 times a week) my lowercase t, c, and h keys stop working in all e-mails. I can type in uppercase and the letters show up just fine, but not in lowercase. I can still use these letters in every other application (Internet Explorer, Word, FrontPage, notepad, etc.), but not in Outlook. I know I sent a few e-mails earlier without rebooting, and I know that my letters worked then. If I reboot, I'll be fine, but this has happened several times over the past month. Has anyone seen this before, or should I just reboot and forget about it?

Thanks,
Becky

Just as I was reading your message, one of my users called me with the same problem (only it's her n key that won't work). I went to her desk and tried switching to plain text, but her n still wouldn't work. I tried closing Outlook and reopening it, and she was fine. This user is running Outlook 2000 SP2 and I've got 2002. I can try switching to plain text on mine, when it breaks again.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've seen this happen when fonts are listed in their font. This is a known bug in OL2K and was never fixed. You'd think they would have fixed it in OL02. Oh well... To see if this fix works for you: 1) right click on your button bar and choose customize. Turn off the check in "list font names in their font." Good luck.

I'll give it a try...since this is not an all-the-time problem, it'll be a few days before I know for sure that it's fine. I sure hope this works, though!

Dumb ol' problem is back again, and my fonts are not listed in their font list. I can't even type those letters in the subject line. I'm just glad I'm the one with the problem, and not a user!

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,
Becky
