documenter field type display (Access 2000 - SR1)

This seems very strange to me. I hope someone can explain. I have several fields in a table defined as decimal. When I run the documenter, the field type is listed as "elete Query". Has anyone ever seen this before? I've attached copies of the documenter report, and also of my table definition. There are no lookups on any of these fields, and I don't use cascading deletes. Any ideas?

I appears to be a bug in the documenter. However, why on earth would you want to use a Decimal datatype in Access in the first place? That kind of precision is going to lead to huge number creep, even worse than what happens with doubles and singles, and I'm curious what possible use you can have for it.

To be honest I don't remember why they were ever defined as decimal. It was a long time ago. I have since changed that. But back to the initial question, I added a field to a test table defined as decimal and it too showed up as "delete query" in the documenter. It has to be a bug. The reason it initially worried me was the reason I was even looking at this table was because the user said there were rows mysteriously missing. Then when I saw that "delete query" listed, I wondered if it could have had anything to do with it.

Anyway, they're no longer decimals so that shouldn't come up again. Thanks for your reply.

Users frequently see rows mysteriously missing. It's often because they haven't figured out what scrollbars are for. <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>
