    devldr16

I am having continual problems with an unused soundblaster driver (devldr16) that insists on inserting itself into my startup no matter how many times I run msconfig and turn it off. It conflicts with something and causes my system to lock up. There are now 4 separate entries for this thing in my msconfig startup tab. I need to get rid of it for good - anybody know how?

Can you search for the filename and rename it to something else - say DEVLDR16.EX_, so that it won't be recognized? Something is obviously using it. Have you checked Creative's website for similar issues?
