Keystroke to activate hyperlink? (PPT2000, PPT Viewer)

I've just discovered what is apparently old hat but is brand new to me. Based on a message I saw here (what a wonderful learning resource) I discovered that I could hyperlink between presentations. Now I don't have to Alt-Tab back and forth. This is great! But ...

Is there a keystroke way to trigger the hyperjump, rather than clicking on it? There is only one link on the page. We normally use PPT viewer rather than PPT itself. I was pleased that the viewer supported the linking at all. But it would be nice if there was a keystroke command rather than mousing it.

Re: Keystroke to activate hyperlink? (PPT2000, PPT Viewer)

The only way I have used the keyboard instead of the mouse to launch hyperlinks was to view the presentation as a slide show, press the tab key to go to and select the hyperlink, once this action selected the hyperlink (which was usually assigned to a picture), I press enter. I haven't tried this in PowePoint viewer though.

The shortcut keys, which you will find in the PowerPoint help menu are as follows:
Tab takes you to the first or next hyperlink

TAB -Go to the first or next hyperlink
SHIFT+TAB - Go to the last or previous hyperlink
ENTER while a hyperlink is selected - Perform the "mouse click" behavior of the selected hyperlink
SHIFT+ENTER while a hyperlink is selected-Perform the "mouse over" behavior of the selected hyperlink

    Hope this helps

Finally got a chance to try it out. Tab and Enter work fine in Powerpoint itself but don't work in Powerpoint Viewer. A shame, it would have been nice.

    Thanks,

I can't give you a keyboard solution as you requested, but you can make this link a bit slicker if you don

A belated thanks. This works great for the slide with only one hyperlink. Will have to stick with clicking on the slide with two or more since you never know where the cursor will first appear.
