    Capital letters after bullets

I am using Word 2000. Can I stop Word from capitalising the first letter after each bullet (as thought it were the start of a sentence? I've looked everywhere without success! (Office 2000 SR1, Corporate mode)

Try Tools> autocorrect> uncheck the box labeled capitalize 1st letter of sentences.

This is in W97 and I imagine it's the same (or a slight variation of the same) for W2k...please confirm.

    have fun

    Re: Capital letters after bullets

A quick ad hoc fix is to enter the first bullet item and then overtype the capitalised letter with the lower case equivalent.

All subsequent bullet points then retain the same case for the first letter.

Hope it works - I have Word 2000 and it works for me.

You can do a Ctrl-Z or a backspace immediately after the capitalization takes place. This slaps Word on the hand and says "Don't touch - mine!" Not that Word will listen, but it won't change it back when you move on.

Thats the ticket . . . control Z is quick and easy and continues to work for that section of bullets (its the nature of bullets that there are often more than one)
This way, I don't have to turn off capitalisation at the beginning of sentances - much appreciated
