Dialog box = Message box or Input box (no drop down or menu involved)
Menu - Do you want to create a menu or toolbar?
Dropdown - A combo box "drops down".

There seems to be a semantic issue , so hopefully you can choose from the above and
    re-ask your question.

In Visual Basic, forms can have menus built into them. In Access, menus are properties of the main Access window, although custom menubars can be created and linked to forms and reports so that they appear when that object is open. If you can be more specific about what you're trying to build or post a screen shot of the kind of thing you mean, it will be easier to get a useful answer.
