Web toolbar (Word 2000 SR 1b)

As I navigate around documents, I find Word keeps switching the Web toolbar on. It gives me no functionality that I need and takes 2 lines from my display.

I've used the button on the standard toolbar and I've gone to the View|Toolbars command but the thing still comes on even after I have switched it off.

How do I switch the thing off and keep it off?

    Thanks in advance, Geoff

The Word MVP site has a good tip on this subject. Click here.

In addition to what Hans said, you can download the disable webbar add-in & for another idea, see <post#=104100>post 104100</post#>
