Limit crash to 1 thread? (XP)

    Hi,

If I have many WordXP Docs open and 1 of them crashes, Task Manager reports all the Word EXE threads as "Not Responding"
Closing any ONE of them forces ALL of them to close.

Is there a way of getting Win2000 to only close that particular thread/session.

    Pls. advise.

    Ta,

    m.q.

No, because it is the application that is crashing, not the document. I believe you can force Word to open a new instance of itself with a command line switch, but to do this for every document would chew up a lot of system resources. Unless you crash often, it wouldn't be worth the overhead.
