    Fantasy question

Is it possible to share a USB ADSL modem using a simple USB hub? I haven't got one to hand to try it with.

    Re: Fantasy question

I would think so, but it would depend on how many IP addresses the ISP allows you for that connection. Mine allows four IPs to be assigned to the device, but I use a Linksys router to split the connection - USB will limit data transfer rates.

    Re: Fantasy question

I don't have a USB ASDL modem but one connected to an network card. Hooking it to a hub worked with two computers both using a NAC. There was only one IP address but both computers could use the Internet at the same time. I now use a LinkSys wireless router and there's no problem. In fact, my ISP sells them for that purpose.
