Quick Launch and Task Bar Size (Win XP Home)

Has anyone run into a problem with controling the width of the task bar in Win XP when the Quick Launch toolbar is added? This user cannot single size the task bar while the quick launch toolbar is displayed ... it defaults to double wide.

Thanks for any suggestions or ideas you might have.

...sorry, but you'll maybe need to explain more fully what you mean. I assume, by the way, that you have not Locked the Taskbar?
If I understand you correctly, you want the list of Open windows to be one column wide? In which case engage the right hand dotted edge of the taskbar and drag it to the left. Alternatively drag the right hand edge of the QuickLaunch bar to the right.

Sorry if I was unclear ... what I am asking is about horizontal row width. Yes, the toolbar is unlocked. When the quick launch is open the horizontal width defaults to two rows wide and will not reduce to one row wide. It is controllable when quick launch is closed.

when it's double wide, are the toolbars/buttons double wide or single? Move QL so that it is double wide and then try and shrink it.
