    PDF crashing (2000)

I have developed a problem with several files crashing when I print to PDF. Either Word crashes or Distiller or it doesn't complete the file printing (i.e. it will print only half a page, or less each time). I have tried PDF-ing different files, some work, some don't. I had someone else PDF them on a different computer and they work fine which leads me to believe it's a problem with my setup. But some files crash on another computer too which in turn leads me to believe the files are corrupted. I have recreated some of them from scratch but it didn't fix the problem. Has anyone have this problem before? I can't find any help on Adobe's web site and this only happens with Word. PDFs work just fine from all other software (Excel, Photoshop, Quark, all different makes).

Does PDF writer crash the machine too?

Does printing to Distiller crash as well or is it just when you click the Acrobat icons (ie run their macros) that the crash occurs? The difference is that the Adobe macros do a bunch of work to preserve the hyperlinks in the output PDF. Just printing the file to the same driver doesn't.

PDF writer crashes but only from Word. It doesn't matter if I use the icon or print to PDF. They crash a little differently but they both still do.
