Hi. Does anyone know how to set text to be visible on the screen, but to not print?
    Thanks, Sherry

Re: set text to not print (2000)

    Sherry,

I have Word '97, but I think this still works in 2000.

Highlight the text to hide and go to Format--Font and choose Hidden.
Then Go to Tools--Options--View and under Nonprinting Characters, check the box for Hidden text.
Then go to the main Word toolbar and click the button that looks like a big paragraph sign (Show/Hide Paragraph marks) . Clicking this button off and on will make the hidden text appear and disappear on screen.
To print, go to Print--Options and uncheck the box for hidden text.

I think this should do it. If not, some helpful person here will undoubtedly correct it.
