    Explorer 5.50

    I get this error message when it hangs, IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
    module OLEAUT32.DLL at 0197:7feab227, what can I do to resolve this, please?

    This may be a dumb thought considering the expertise of most in this forum, but I use the Windows Update site to install critical updates for MSIE and other patches. I have found a problem is often solved when I am up to date with MS critical updates.

    Have you run Scandisk? One other quick suggestion (although I haven't used 5.5 for a while and can't remember if this feature is in it): try to repair IE--go to add/remove programs in the Control Panel, click on IE and add/remove, and you should be given the option to repair it. You might also consider upgrading to IE6.
