    Outlook express (6)

silly question but I have just upgraded and every time I open an email it is in a window about a 1/4 of the screen. How do I set it so that it automatically opens each mail in a full screen?

Also, is it normal that this is so much slower than the previous version to open or have I done something wrong??

Just resize the screen to suit, (drag from corner to required size), only has to be done once, the rest will automatically open at the new enlarged size. Personally I have not found OE 6 slower than previous versions, if anything version 6 allows many additional options I have found useful.

Certainly, resize it to the dimensions you want, but exit using theFile/Close or Exit command, not the X in the upper right corner.

Thanks guys, that heaps better. Following this I can resize to a larger size and get it to work consistantly but it does not work in setting it to maximise (as in what the square does). Is there a way to do that?

I've come across this problem before, and it doesn't like to stay maximised. The only way round it I could find was to resize the window to take up the whole screen (ie drag the window to the edges of the screen)!

Hi Beryl, Ive been using OE6 for a while and not found this a problem, I have it loaded on both 98 and ME. What O/S are you using?

I haven't noticed it recently, but then I got into the habit of manually sizing the screen so I wouldn't! It would have been a couple of versions ago - I can't remember exactly when; probably Win98 or so. I'm using WinME now but as I say, I haven't noticed it recently.
