IE6 & java applets in xp (XP home)

I use java applets on my artist website,
I used IE6 with Win Me and the applets displayed fine
I just switched to XP home, I no longer can see them,
error message - " your browser doesn't support java"
install on demand prompts for Virtual machine and brings me to the microsoft site
but no add in is available anymore for Virtual Machine,
I have the java applet check box enabled in the internet options,

You have choices. You can go to: http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html for the Sun version. You can go to:
http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdo...572EB7A3865.exe for the MS version or you can wait for XP SP-1 (the java VM will be included).
