    Disabling security feature

This week we upgraded everyone to Win 98 SE and Office 2000 SR1. Now the shortcuts to Word files that are in each client record within Outlook 2000 (within a public folder) won't work . . . Outlook is treating the shortcuts like mail attachments and is insisiting we "save them to the hard disc" Can anyone help please? Is there anyway I can disable this - or pursuade Outlook that they are NOT attachments but shortcuts to our own (fully virus checked) files

outlook has security features that prevent certain attachment types from opening directly from outlook. you'll need to lower your security options in outlook. (tools > options > security > attachment security button)

Almost forgot, you can control the attachments that get this warning and unblock types you use often.
